Tugun. Village Beach Life.

The bustling seaside village of Tugun serves not only the holidaymakers who flock to the area year after year, but also a close-knit community of locals who have grown to love and jealously protect their precious beach lifestyle.

The name Tugun (pronounced Choogun and locally known as Choogs), is derived from indigenous dialect and means “the breaking waves”. Tugun’s stunning surf beach rolls along the Pacific shores from Currumbin at its northernmost boundary, to Bilinga in the south, placing it in the southern region of the Gold Coast.

Since the recent opening of the newsworthy Tugun Bypass, the Village and suburb have reverted to a tranquil hub of coffee shops, cafes, Hotel, convenience stores, pharmacy, newsagency, almost every service to make life easy and comfortable.

The Tugun Surf Life-Saving Club, centrally located and right on the beach, is a popular spot for socialising, enjoying a bit of people-watching and the millionaire views along the patrolled surf beach.

Sentosa is just a few minutes stroll from all of these facilities and Coolangatta International and local Airport is a handy 5 minutes away.

Live the Tugun life... the beach life.
